Cooling coil dust
The evaporator coil is typically downstream of the blower in many systems and has closely spaced fins that can trap particles.
What to observe
Ask whether the actual coil is accessible and photograph both entering face and drain area if safely reachable.
A field example
The coil's entering face can be hidden behind a panel while the visible backside looks clear. Access and coil orientation determine whether a proposed cleaning actually reaches the loaded surface.
What the written work should say
Cleaning method must fit coil coating, access and manufacturer instructions, with drainage and operation checked afterward.
Where this task stops
A duct-only quote does not automatically include the coil, and a wet or frozen coil needs diagnosis.
