Humidifier water leakage
A supply tube, valve, drain or housing can leak near the furnace and imitate equipment condensation.

Photograph where water begins and whether it appears only during a call for humidity.
A field example
A drip that appears only when humidity is requested narrows the suspect list to water supply, housing and drain. That timing is useful evidence; it does not make every nearby rust spot a humidifier fault.
What the written work should say
A qualified worker should isolate the leak source, correct it and verify the water path without soaking furnace controls.

Do not assume all cabinet rust is from the humidifier; keep other water sources in view.
